Social Mobility
The North West is a hugely diverse region. We’re home to some of the most deprived and disadvantaged towns in the UK, comprising of areas with extremely low social mobility. We therefore have a role to play in ensuring that both our customers and employees have equal opportunities and access to education, employment and enrichment activities, regardless of their social-economic status. We understand the benefits of having a broad and diverse talent pool and want our customers to recognise United Utilities as an employer who really values diversity and inclusion. As an employer, we’re passionate about providing opportunities to those that need it most and understand how critical it is to support people to realise their full potential. Below are a few examples of our programmes, partnerships and projects that help boost social mobility across the region.
