We’re sorry we couldn’t fit your water meter
We’re really sorry we couldn’t fit a water meter in your home. We hate to disappoint our customers but there will be a good reason why we couldn’t fit a meter. This is normally due to:
- Your water supply pipe is shared with neighbours
- You have more than one water supply pipe going into your home
- Your home shares communal hot water pipe work with other properties
- We were unable to locate your water supply pipe
Although we couldn’t fit a meter, all is not lost! You may now be eligible for a fixed charge based on the type of home you live in.
What this means is that we charge you a fixed amount for your water services each year which will depend on your property type. Also, if you live alone we’ll check to see if you would make saving on your bill with our single person household tariff. Our charges for 2024/25 are shown here:

The good news is that you don’t need to do a thing. As we couldn’t fit a meter, a member of our billing team will now look at what you currently pay and check if your bill would be lower on the property charge shown above. If it’s lower, we’ll send you an amended bill to confirm your new charges. If not, we’ll keep you on your current bill.
If you need to speak to us in the meantime please call 0345 072 6065, we’ll be happy to help.
