Entwistle Reservoir

Entwistle is a flat, easy walk, meandering around the reservoir. The trail is a circular loop that hugs the water and is approximately 2.8 miles long. The flat path means it is a place for everyone; families, dog walkers, runners - anyone who just wants to immerse themselves in the beautiful outdoors.

Entwistle is filled with wildlife and a great bird watching spot all year round. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for our 10 foot steel heron sculpture sitting at the water’s edge.

The Strawberry Duck

Why not visit our 10 foot steel heron sculpture (The Wader) sitting at the water’s edge? The Wader has been at Entwistle since 2008. As there was a large colony of herons breeding here at the time, the sculpture felt very appropriate.

Suitable for wheelchairs and prams around Entwistle, but not for Wayoh.

Flat, easy walk around Entwistle Reservoir and a longer trail around both Entwistle and Wayoh Reservoir.

To finish off your adventure, how about a visit to The Strawberry Duck pub?
